Lena said "I am struggling to believe a single word that pops out of his mouth".Thinking back to the time when i did'nt know about the infidelity and how easy the lies came flooding out of his mouth when i had asked him where had he been and why he was so late home. Can i ever get the trust to return again? Will i ever know when he is telling the truth?
She also found herself in a position where she could'nt tell the lies apart from the truth. She also found it hard to cope with the major blow to her self-confidence not knowing she was being lied to. Not being able to see the lies when they first happened was a major blow to her self-confidence when she believed the reasons he gave to her when he came home late.
"How could i have been so foolish to fall for those stupid lies? How could i not have known? Lena asked herself. Hurt by the thoughts of being a good and trusting spouse and because she had belief in her adultorous spouse she was now feeling incredibly bad about within herself.
When it comes to spotting a lie we can all be fooled by a good liar. Lena hadn't done a single thing wrong.Even my 10 years in the Police Force in the United Kingdom had taught me that.When it boils down to spotting a fib one cant always get it right.
When the realisation that a piece of your relationship had been living in a pit of lies and untruths its difficult to know what is reality anymore.You will find yourself craving to get back to the marriage when you believed your spouses words were truths.
Questing for the Extreme Truth
You might want to trust the spouse again after the infidelity took place but its a long and hard process and the process requires a willing and ready spouse to work with you to get the trust back.
Sometimes however,the spouse who is the injured party needs some form of proof that the spouse who had been having the affair isnt telling lies any more. Lena needed to find out that the affair was indeed over and when he now came in late it was a genuine reason and that they hadn't returned back to that lying again.
Should you be longing for an absolutely strong desire of proof, by contemplating getting your partner a lie detector test then i can tell you that a typical lie detector test is about 60 to 75 per cent accurate and will often vary depending on the accuracy of a particular persons resuts and the actual test operator. Would it really be worth spending cash on such a test when it isnt going to be conclusive anyway
On many occasions the lie detector was cancelled just before it was due to be taken due to the spouse who had been having the affair admitting just enough truths to fool the partner and once again i re-itorat that such a test is not conclusive.
