People often say that mountain climbing can burn up to 400 or perhaps 500 hundred carbohydrates per hour. It's a good hourly rate, let me tell you that. But not only that, it's also good for your strength, obviously you do not need me to tell you that. You harden your muscles, train your lungs and heart and overall investing a lot into healthy growth of your body.
At no time you're advised to leave your house adventuring without a flask of water at the very least! It's important to also carry a light meal, because trust me, you will soon become very burned out and even more so hungry. But that's okay; if you make sure the meal you're eating is healthy and that you're burning it away in any way, you have nothing to sweat over.
Certify you consume a lot of proteins before trying to climb anything. And if you're pondering where to store all the food for the long travel, here's a good practice many of our sport climbers take advantage of. Cram your bags full of nuts! They are light, easy to haul, but at the same time they're also very useful to make you less hungryand to replenish your energy.
Before starting the adventure, you shouldn't eat a lot of trash food (you shouldn't do that anyway, which I'm quite assured you know by now). Make sure you bring with you something to call for help with, just in case things fall apart. Or better yet, take another person with you, especially if it's your first such endeavor. Having an assistant is a good idea in any case, so you might just as wellbenefit from both.
When climbing, make sure your rhythm is something you can put up with. Don't speed things up for no reason, this is the first thing that can lead you to having an undesirable accident. You have nothing to prove to anyone, so make sure that safety is always first. Take many breaks; enjoy the surroundings, eat a granola bar, drink a little water. When you're feeling rested, continue the journey, not a minute sooner.
Getting rid of excess pounds can sometimes be a grind and you get the feeling that no matter what you do, you will never realize your goals. Let me assure you this could not possibly be a greater distance away from the truth! Keep with it, results will be visible in the near future if you never stop believing and if you don't get lazy.
Alright, take care, stay at it and I'll see you soon!
