Bobby Brown was on stage performing with New Edition on a show in Mississippi just hours after his ex-wife Whitney Houston is discovered dead for the Beverly Hilton hotel Saturday.

Us Weekly reports that Brown missed the first song of your set, even so joined New Edition onstage. At one thing in the concert, a teary Brown shouted “I love you, Whitney!” and blew a kiss toward the night sky. While performing “Tenderoni,” Brown eliminate, sobbing and asked the bunch to sing along.

Brown and Houston were married from 1992 to 2007. They've one daughter, Bobbi Kristina, born in 1993. Their relationship was chronicled to the reality TV series Being Bobby Brown in 2005.

Robert Barisford "Bobby" Brown (born February 5, 1969) is definitely an American R&B singer-songwriter, occasional rapper, and dancer.
After success in pop group New Edition, Brown began his solo career in 1987 and had a string of Best Billboard hits, culminating in the Grammy Award. He became a pioneer of New Jack Swing music, a fusion of reggae and R&B. His second album, Avoid being Cruel, included popular songs such as "My Prerogative".
Brown is the ex-husband of pop singer Whitney Houston and starred while in the reality show Being Bobby Brown.

Bobby Brown began his music career for a member of the R&B boy band New Edition that she founded alongside childhood friend Michael Bivins. He will be the youngest part of the group for the reason that inception.[citation needed] The group's hits with Brown included "Candy Girl", "Cool It Now", and "Mr. Telephone Man". Brown was voted from New Edition in 1986 if the other four members felt that their careers can be jeopardized by Bobby's lewd, line-crossing on-stage antics.[1] During the entire All for Love tour, he feuded with Ralph Tresvant and cut in on Tresvant's lead vocals. In 1996, Brown rejoined the audience for New Edition's comeback album, Home Again. In the center of the tour, he engaged in further racy on-stage antics. He extended his solo set and cut into Bell Biv Devoe's time. Again, he left New Edition. In december 2005, New Edition performed at BET's 25th Anniversary Special. The audience performed a medley of its greatest hits, and in many cases brought Bobby Brown on stage for your rendition of "Mr. Telephone Man". It was later announced on BET and Inside Hollywood that Bobby had rejoined the group and can be on the next group album. In January 2006, New Edition announced that this group would launch a new album and tour in 2008. Bobby also appeared in a concert in Columbia, Structured that New Edition had filmed for a future DVD release.

After leaving New Edition in 1985, Brown stayed with the group manager Steven Machat and Machat secured from MCA, the groups record label, an all-time deal guaranteed for Browns solo career if Brown agreed to leave the New Edition. MCA released his first solo album, King of Stage, in 1986. This album included "Girlfriend", the hit which traveled to #1 on the Billboard R&B charts and #57 to the Billboard Hot 100. Besides that, King of Stage wouldn't garner much attention. However, Brown's next album, 1988's Avoid getting Cruel with Machat overseeing your whole production and styling of Brown with Louil Silas, MCA's rep, rocketed him to super stardom. Working with the writing/producing team of L.A. Reid and Babyface, as well as Teddy Riley, You shouldn't Cruel spawned five Top ten Billboard Hot 100 singles: "Don't Be Cruel" (#8), "Every Little Step" (#3), "Rock Wit' Cha" (#7), "My Prerogative" (#1), and "Roni" (#3). The album would eventually become certified 8x platinum (8,000,000 units sold).[2]
In 1989, he contributed two songs (including "On Our Own", which reached #2 over the Billboard Hot 100) on the Ghostbusters II soundtrack, in addition to creating a cameo in the film. Brown has subsequently dabbled in acting.
In between your "On Our Own" single plus the release of Brown's next album, a remix album, Dance! Ya Know It! was launched to capitalise on Brown's huge success at that time. A non-album "megamix" single was published to promote the project. The eu dance-oriented version (sampling beats by Snap!) was titled "The Freestyle Megamix" and would be a hit in britain, reaching #14 around the Gallup charts. A very R'n'B oriented version called "Every Little Hit Mix" (b/w "Roni) premiered in Australia.
Brown's third album, Bobby, could not arrive until 1992. It reached #2 to the Billboard album charts and produced the hit singles "Humpin' Around" (#3 about the Billboard Hot 100) and "Good Enough" (#7) as well as a smaller hit in "Get Away" (#14). The album was eventually certified 1x platinum (1,000,000 units sold).[2] However, it didn't come close to matching the album sales or singles chart success of its predecessor.
Brown waited until late 1997 to produce his next (as well as date, last) album of original material, Forever. The album was originally titled Bobby II and was supposed to be produced by such luminaries as R. Kelly, Teddy Riley, Sean Combs and Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. However, Brown negotiated 100% creative power over the album[citation needed] and chose to write the many songs himself. It only been able to climb to #61 over the Billboard Hot 200 album charts and produced no charting singles.
In 2003 he was signed for a while of time as was then Murder Inc. Records where he recorded “Thug Lovin” with rapper Ja Rule. The turbulent record company was cannot sustain itself, and Brown’s time there seemed to be short.
In 2006, Brown appeared on "Beautiful", the final single from Damian Marley's album Thanks for visiting Jamrock.
In 2010, Bobby Brown surprised his fans by dueting with American R&B and soul singer-songwriter, record producer, and actress Macy Gray for my child new album titled The Sellout. Together they did an audio lesson "Real Love". Macy Gray divulged the pleasure of using the services of Bobby Brown to Essence magazine[3] to the project, proclaiming that "actually he found the studio, since he doesn't live far, and bumped out his recording by two hours. We're friends with his fantastic one-year-old son is my godson. His fiance is among one of my friends in the whole world. I met Bobby years back, but we actually got to know 1 another through her."
