Chad Reed's return to Supercross at Daytona was limited time. Reed was able to pull through both practice and qualifying in which he clearly demonstrated his speed and skills by posting the easiest class time on his new Monster Energy Kawasaki KX450F.
Unfortunately Reed wasn't start the key SX event. Reed crashed in one of the Daytona practices and broke the end of his thumb. This is usually a new thumb injury in addition to healing wrist injury.
Chad Reed showed-up at the Dallas Supercross a week ago with the intent of racing. After further article on his healthiness, the decision was created to not to race.

"I'm working hard to go back during the Supercross season," said Reed. "I choose to come back when I can, but I also want to make sure I am One hundred percent. It is really week to week, but I'm riding now and we'll do some outdoor testing soon."
At this time, Reed will miss the March 27th Supercross event at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium. His new target would be to return on April the 10th with the SX race at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas.
With no chance to win this years AMA / FIM Supercross Championship, Reed looks to back up his teammate Ryan Villopoto in their quest to over take Ryan Dungey while in the final 5 rounds:

Chad Reed, still recovering from a broken hand sustained at the beginning of the 2010 Supercross Season, flew to California to view his doctor . From everything we could tell, Reed continues to not able to ride his motorcycle or jump into the race action quite yet. Reed's new Kawasaki Team reports that Chad hopes to be riding soon. İn addition they anticipate that Reed might be racing sometime later. This timing usually jive with the original March 6th (Daytona) or March 13th (Toronto) return that was anticipated.
During California, Reed also came out at Supercross Round 5 in North park this a week ago. Reed took time to meet some fans and sign autographs. He has also been in good sprits and actually spent the vast majority of his day when using the fans. Reed's championships desires for 2010 are gone but he will be happy to get back on the bike and demonstrate his riding skills around the Kawasaki.
Round 6 on the 2010 Supercross Season heads into the Angel Stadium, without Chad Reed or James Stewart, for any third and final visit in Anaheim (3) on February 13th. The remaining 2010 Supercross race events are as follows:
April 10 - Reliant Stadium - Houston, TX
April 17 - Edward Jones Dome - St. Louis, MO
April 24 - Quest Field - Seattle, WA
May 1 - Rice-Eccles - Salt Lake City, UT
May 8 - Sam Boyd Stadium - Nevada, NV
As well, we are getting the sense that both Chad Reed and James Stewart with both return healthy for that outdoor 2010 AMA Motocross season. The motocross world delays eagerly for the pending showdown.
